Overview
The Yamaha Grizzly is our heaviest-duty machine — noticeably more torque than the Single Seater, made for riders who want to feel the power on the open dunes. A single bike runs AED 350, with 30, 60 and 120-minute ride options, and every booking is guided, with unlimited mineral water on hand and a guide riding the desert alongside you.
You'll roll off the access track and onto open sand within a couple of minutes, and the Grizzly's extra weight and power make themselves known straight away — it climbs and holds a line on soft dune faces where lighter quads struggle. Helmet, goggles and gloves are handed out before you start, and your guide talks you through the controls and braking until you're comfortable heading out across the open desert.

Do I need a licence to ride the Yamaha Grizzly quad bike?
No licence is needed. You get a full safety briefing and a guide-led ride, so no prior quad bike experience or driving licence is required.
What's the minimum age to ride the Grizzly?
Riders need to be 16 or older to control the Grizzly solo. It's a bigger, heavier machine than our other quads, so we hold this age line specifically for it.
How long is the ride — can I choose 30, 60 or 120 minutes?
Yes, the Grizzly is booked by the minute: 30, 60 and 120-minute sessions are all available at this desert site, so you can pick the length that suits your day.
What should I wear for a quad bike ride in the desert?
Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — trainers or boots, not sandals. Light, breathable clothing works best, and we provide the helmet, goggles and gloves on site.
Is this a fenced track or open desert riding?
The Grizzly rides across the open desert area rather than a fenced circuit, with your guide alongside you for the full session instead of laps around a marked loop.
